Janis Yergan (Chairwoman of the Board) a graduate in industrial psychology and business, has been a hospital business development executive for 20 years. During her career she has worked in various hospital structures, academic, religiously affiliated, single specialty, for profit and non-profit. She has worked at the hospital and regional level. Her expertise includes program development, marketing, public relations, facility design and construction, clinic management and managed care. Throughout her career, Jan has supported and implemented very effective community outreach strategies. .
She is currently Sr. Vice President of Business Development at California Hospital Medical Center owned by Catholic Healthcare West. Her current responsibilities include management of a 13 clinic network, government relations, public relations, marketing, business development as well as various construction and syndication projects. In addition to her role a board chair for the Denise Roberts Breast Cancer Foundation, she is a member of the board for the American Heart Association and sits on the CEO / Executive Conference for the National Association of Health Service Executives. She has served on the board of the YMCA and the Youth and Family Center of Inglewood.
Robert A. Doles III, Esq
Robert A. Doles III, Esq.(Vice Chair) is a graduate of UC Berkeley and UC Hastings Law School. He is an Attorney licensed to practice in both California and Florida. Robert's experience as an Attorney spans over nine years and encompasses nonprofit, criminal defense, and general tort litigation.
In addition to his extensive legal knowledge in the area of nonprofit law, it was Robert's passion for Community Service that led to his desire to become involved with The Denise Roberts Breast Cancer Foundation as a member of the Board.
Margaret Batchelor White, Ph.D. (Treasurer) received her Batchelor of Science from Savannah State University with Cum Laude honors, and later received her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Guidance and Psychological Services/Urban Education with Cum Laude honors from the University of Massachusetts. Today Dr. Batchelor White is the Departmental Manager of the Department of Energy. She is heavily involved in a number of community service organizations, including The Smithsonian Institution, Project 2000, Inc., Howard University’s Metropolitan Science and Engineering Committee, United Way, various Link’s, Inc. Chapters, The Women’s Center of North Virginia, The Girl Friends, Inc., Hillcrest Children Center, and she continues her service as member of the Board of Directors of The Denise Roberts Breast Cancer Foundation.
Dr. Batchelor White has also been the recipient of numerous honors including The 100 Black Women’s Exceptional Women’s Award for Service; The Service to Youth Award, The Link’s, Inc. Award for Volunteerism and for Improving the Quality of Life for All People, and she was honored by President George Bush as the “Points of Light” awardee. Margaret Batchelor White is also the proud mother of daughter, Pamela Leora Wiltz.
Janquenette Austin-Peterson(Secretary) affectionately known as Jan, was born in Birmingham, Alabama. Jan attended Fairfax High School in Los Angeles, Pierce College, Woodland Hills and Santa Monica College, Santa Monica, California. Jan is currently enrolled in the Certified Special Events Program at The UCLA School of Extension and The Medical Coding Certified Program at The Coding Source in Los Angeles, Ca. With over 22 years of experience in Medical Administration, Jan began her employment with The Revlon-UCLA Breast Center in 1999, where she currently manages the daily operations of the breast center's clinic and administrative office.
Jan has recently been appointed as a Board of Directors member of The Denise Roberts Breast Cancer Foundation, (TDRBCF).
